Love $4 Gas

  • Jun. 19th, 2008 at 5:34 PM
Since November 2006, cumulative vehicle miles traveled have dropped by 17.3 billion miles.

Mass transit ridership in 2007 highest in 50 years.

For every dollar increase in the average real price of gas, overweight and obesity levels in the United States decline by 16 percent in seven years.

Edward Abbey, the environmentalist author, used to drive a 1974 cherry red caddy.
He said he drove it so that he would burn up all the gasoline and they'd stop drilling. He also liked describing the antenna dropping back into the car when you turned it off "like a sagging penis."

I walked to the grocery store today. Carried tortillas home in my backpack.

Ah, so their plan is unmasked?

So gas companies raise the price of gas because they want us to drive less so we can use public transportation we already pay for and lose weight as a nation?

They really do care?

Also, I did a search for the Light Rail based on your posting and found this map.
