Washington State Lottery... bad investment?

Today was BLEEPIN HOT, and it seemed LIKE I MAKE MY OWN BASTE.

i might have completed the core of kj tonight. very constrained, dense but clear, no crashes, few special cases. this code examines a database of dated fdata (list of who you've friended and who has friended you). so for example i might have a snapshot of your flist from ten different days in the past few months. i examine this for events (adds or drops), and i crossreference it with the same kind of data for every other user you've ever been associated with. the result is a very accurate interpolated timeline of events involving you and all your friends too. i "cook" these flist snapshots into discrete events (a day, a subject, an object, and whether it was an add or a drop). i note the day through which this "cooking" has occured, so next time i just pick up where the last scan left off. i wildly estimate that my database contains 50,000,000 discreet friending and unfriending events, but i really have no clue. i will get to run this against the massive (3+ years) dataset soon. first i sleep.

Sorry but I'm gaga over Obama. He's exactly the one I want. Throw back the smear attack, while capturing the high ground. It's just so delicious.

Obama's so vain, I'll bet he thought that speech was about him...which it wasn't.

I think I'll start calling him Egobama.

FINALLY, an election cycle where cogency and statesmanship can be drowned out by smear-filled and ignorant rhetoric! APPEASER!

You and I know that the lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math, but it's still cool when someone goes into detail to point out how buying a lottery ticket is a bad deal.

BTW, playing a slot machine has roughly the same ROI. The moral of the story is that there are a lot of stupid people, empty promises of winning keep them coming back, and thus gambling will always be lucrative.
